Sandblasting / Sandcarving

Endless Possibilities

If you are looking for unique, personalized, custom designs, for any occasion, we are here to walk you through the entire process. Using our sandblasting methods on glass results in a much deeper and cleaner design than can be achieved with methods such as laser etching or etching creams.

Sandblasting

This is the premier method for etching glassware.

Sandblasting produces a deep, permanent mark, and it allows for greater flexibility in design. It produces the best result of all the available methods.

Sandblasting is a labor-intensive process. The glasses are first prepped with hand-applied film masks and protective taping. Glasses are blasted with stream of pressurized abrasive in a special cabinet one at a time, then washed and packaged.

Sandcarving

This is an advanced multi step variation of sandblasting where different etching depths are achieved within a single project.

This is a much more involved process which requires both a more in-depth technical knowledge as well as more artistic skill than is required for traditional sandblasting. It is best suited for:

Works of fine art • Glass entry or shower doors. • Special awards • Unique items • Other large, thick or heavy, glass projects.

Hand Painting

Make your gift even more special and memorable by allowing us to hand paint your etched glass or marble items.

We can match the colors you choose. a perfect way to celebrate any occasion. wedding colors, school colors, or corporate colors add that extra special touch.  We use a high quality, automotive-grade paint to ensure long lasting results that will not fade over time.  We recommend dark glass for painting, as it shows off the colors even better than clear glass.

Photo Etching

Etched Photographs are a spectacular way to add personalization and transform any number of ordinary items into cherished keepsakes.

Photo etching is perfect for those times you want to freeze a memory or moment in time.  Some ideas are: Babies, Watch me grow, Birthdays, Graduations, Weddings, Other events with friends or family, or Memorials for loved ones that have passed.

There are special considerations when choosing a photo for etching.

Bottle Etching

Etched bottles are another way mark memorable events in a meaningful way.

Bottles of all kinds can be etched: Wine, Champagne, and various Liquors are the obvious choices, but consider other bottles such as Perfume/Cologne,  or a special bottle of Olive Oil, or Hot Sauce for the chef in your life.

Bottles are great  choice for celebrations! Think of occasions like Engagements, Weddings, Graduations, Birthdays, Retirements, or other Commemorative Events.  They can be used for Recognizing Milestones and Achievements, or as Prizes and Trophies.

Use a bottle as you would a greeting card to say “I love you!” or “I’m thinking of you!”

A great thing about bottles is they are usually full of something the person can use and still keep the beautiful bottle afterwards.

Benefits & Limitations of Sandblasting

  • Etching is permanent and will never wash, chip or wear off.
  • Etched glass has a more elegant appearance with deep and even cuts.
  • Designs can be extremely intricate.
  • On non-food and beverage items we can offer gold or silver coloring that overlays the etch.
  • Color is not an option with etching.
  •  Etched designs will appear as frosted white on clear and colored glass
  • Etched glassware is often more expensive than other personalization options due to the hand labor required.

Screen Printing

If you need a large quantity of items for a fraction of the cost of etching, screen printing may be your solution!

Our screen printing consists of ceramic ink baked at 1100° F and is much more durable than the air-dried epoxy many companies use today. It will not wash off! Many different kinds of items can be screen printed including: votives, champagne flutes, candy jars, coffee mugs, and even paperweights. Any color is available, but light colors such as white, yellow and pastels work much better.

Minimum  order of 72 pieces • All must be identical.

UV Printing

UV Printing

UV printing on glass is a process of applying full-color graphics, images, and text onto glass surfaces using UV light. The UV printer has a built-in light source that cures the ink as it is printed, resulting in an instant dry and smudge-proof image that bonds strongly to the glass surface.

UV printing on glass offers many benefits, such as high-quality high-resolution, full  color printing of artwork or photographs, fast turnaround times, and the ability to print on a wide range of glass surfaces. This printing process is eco-friendly as the inks used are free from volatile organic compounds (VOCs).

Beautiful results for colorful projects:
Photographs • Invitations • Artwork

UV printed glass plaques can be hung or sand on a table.

These make a excellent Parent or Grandparent gifs when made of child’s artwork.
